Our first concert in Midsummer Magic presents Pallade Musica, a baroque chamber orchestra, in a concert discussing our seasons in a time of climate change. The repertoire evokes a vision of four seasons in an era of climate change, and includes Antonio Vivaldi’s famous Four Seasons performed by four young violinists alongside The Four Seasons and a Melting Iceberg, a work for solo recorder by Canadian composer Matthias Maute. Vivaldi’s sonnets as well as new texts written by Acadian authors will provide an original narrative framework for this concert.
