Sinfonia Toronto welcomes an exciting Italian guest conductor, Giovanni Pompeo, and welcomes back one of their audiences’ favourite piano soloists, Anya Alexeyev, to present a program of maximum Romantic melody. Anya stars as the soloist in an orchestral version of César Franck’s luxurious Piano Quintet, and Maestro Pompeo leads the orchestra in one of the most beloved Romantic works in the entire repertoire, Tchaikovsky’s famous Serenade.
