Dear friends,
As temperatures warm, the CSO is delighted to welcome you to an afternoon of Canadian Soundscapes.
Our program for March 26th features immersive and extraordinary pieces from around the country, including Eleanor Daley’s Requiem, Leonard Enns’ I saw eternity, and two pieces by the noted Winnipeg composer Andrew Balfour. We’re also pleased to present works by renowned Canadian choral composers R. Murray Schaefer, Ruth Watson Henderson, and Nancy Telfer, as well as two recent works written in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
One of those works, Marie-Claire Saindon’s Ouvre tes ailes, was commissioned by the CSO two years ago. We’re very excited to bring this intensely moving work to you again, and hope you can join us!
Looking forward to an early spring—
