Septi\u00e8me projet d\u2019enregistrement de la v\u00e9t\u00e9rane, <i>109 ans de piano<\/i> offre un aper\u00e7u de ce \u00e0 quoi ressemblent plus de 100 ans de pratique et d\u2019entra\u00eenement.<\/p>\n<p>Le tempo plus lent, les motifs r\u00e9p\u00e9titifs et la forte r\u00e9verb\u00e9ration de <i>Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence<\/i> mettent l\u2019accent sur le style d\u2019interpr\u00e9tation plut\u00f4t que sur la m\u00e9lodie du morceau. L\u2019auditeur peut entendre Maze jouer avec intention, la force de ses notes communiquant une confiance \u00e0 la fois dans son instrument et dans son ex\u00e9cution. Elle offre un excellent accompagnement \u00e0 la guitare de Caz\u00e9, mettant parfois l\u2019accent sur des notes dissonantes pour tenir les auditeurs en haleine. En tant que premier morceau de l\u2019album, il donne un ton festif, compl\u00e9t\u00e9 par une certaine m\u00e9lancolie \u2212 il y a beaucoup \u00e0 admirer, en particulier dans ses d\u00e9fauts.<\/p>\n<p>Maze poursuit avec des interpr\u00e9tations sereines d\u2019\u0153uvres de Debussy, Piazzolla et Gershwin qui offrent un ton rafra\u00eechissant et conflictuel. Le reste de l\u2019album est consacr\u00e9 aux<i> Sc\u00e8nes d\u2019enfants <\/i>de Robert Schumann, qui permettent \u00e0 la pianiste de jouer sur des tempos plus rapides et de d\u00e9montrer ses talents de soliste.
