Les historiens de la musique se souviendront que Fritz Reiner, l\u2019un des pr\u00e9d\u00e9cesseurs de Honeck \u00e0 Pittsburgh, a ensuite dirig\u00e9 l\u2019Orchestre symphonique de Chicago et r\u00e9alis\u00e9 de nombreux enregistrements qui restent des classiques \u00e0 ce jour. Mais pourquoi Honeck voudrait-il quitter Pittsburgh\u00a0? Comme le prouve la force de ce nouvel enregistrement et des nombreux autres qui l\u2019ont pr\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9, Honeck est d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e0 la t\u00eate d\u2019un orchestre de premier ordre.<\/p>\n<p>Honeck et les Pittsbourgeois sont absolument \u00e9blouissants dans cette nouvelle <i>Cinqui\u00e8me<\/i> de Tcha\u00efkovski, jou\u00e9e avec une pr\u00e9cision \u00e0 couper le souffle et un \u00e9lan vers l\u2019avant. Le r\u00e9sultat est d\u2019une beaut\u00e9 \u00e0 faire fondre, une grande prestation.<\/p>\n<p>Cet album contient \u00e9galement les <i>Cinq pi\u00e8ces pour quatuor \u00e0 cordes <\/i>d\u2019Erwin Schulhoff, orchestr\u00e9es par Honeck et Tomas Ille. Schulhoff \u00e9tait un compositeur austro-tch\u00e8que extr\u00eamement talentueux qui est mort en prison en 1942, victime des pers\u00e9cutions nazies.
