Cette qualit\u00e9 de l\u2019instrument produit un effet apaisant tout au long de l\u2019album, particuli\u00e8rement \u00e0 la troisi\u00e8me pi\u00e8ce, la <em>Sonate pour violon seul n<sup>o<\/sup> 3<\/em> de Bach. M. \u00d3lafsson mise d\u2019ailleurs sur cette r\u00e9verb\u00e9ration pour bri\u00e8vement tenir l\u2019auditeur en haleine dans <em>Harmonica <\/em>de Gy\u00f6rgy Kurt\u00e1g avant de s\u2019amuser avec ces tonalit\u00e9s contrastantes dans les <em>Trois chants populaires hongrois de Cs\u00edk<\/em> de Bart\u00f3k. Ce premier disque t\u00e9moigne de la magistrale pr\u00e9cision tonale du pianiste\u00a0: toutes les \u0153uvres sont charg\u00e9es \u00e9motionnellement, mais M. \u00d3lafsson se charge de d\u00e9cupler leur puissance gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l\u2019ordre qu\u2019il leur a donn\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Dans le second disque, les m\u00eames \u0153uvres jou\u00e9es sur un piano droit offrent une exp\u00e9rience o\u00f9 pr\u00e9vaut l\u2019imm\u00e9diatet\u00e9 du son plut\u00f4t que sa persistance. Aucune \u0153uvre ne met davantage en \u00e9vidence cette diff\u00e9rence que l\u2019<em>Ave Mar\u00eda<\/em> de Sigvaldi Kaldal\u00f3ns.<\/p>\n<p>Jou\u00e9e avec d\u00e9licatesse sur le piano \u00e0 queue, la pi\u00e8ce est l\u00e9g\u00e8re et paisible, mais en appuyant plus fort sur les touches du piano droit, M. \u00d3lafsson lui insuffle une tonalit\u00e9 plus sombre.
